Sunday Morning Worship

I can picture Abraham standing over Isaac on the mountaintop, tears running down his face, probably needing both hands to hold onto the knife, hands are shaking. All the while, probably asking himself, "WHY? Why my only son? Why must I give away the promise you made to me 25 years ago?"

As we journey through this lifetime, God may ask us to take His promise and lay it back down on the altar. Not out of spite. He's not mean and vindictive. He wants to know, "Do you love Me OR what I can give you?" It's all part of the plan that leads to the fulfillment of the promise.
