Our Story
Restored Hope was founded as Hopewell First Church of the Nazarene by Reverend Charles Wallace 60+ years ago. From the beginning, the mission has always been to provide of place of hope and healing for the City of Hopewell and beyond.
Offering hope has been at the forefront of what we do and continues to flow through our people and into our community. We have a living hope in Jesus Christ. At Restored Hope our mission is to offer hope to all who thirst. We exist to be a place where hopelessness becomes hopefulness through an encounter with our living hope.

Moving Forward
In April 2019, we suffered a devastating fire. Since then, we have had the privilege of meeting at First Baptist Church of Hopewell who has so graciously offered meeting space for us.
We are currently in the process of rebuilding and plan to rebuild on the same location where Reverend Wallace planted.

What We Believe
The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that distinguishes the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other Christian denominations is that of entire sanctification. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.
