Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness ... Be glad and rejoice because your reward is great in heaven. Persecution serves as the evidence of genuine discipleship in Christ. The cost of being a disciple of Christ is offset by the enormity of the reward we will enjoy in Heaven.
