Paul's letter to the churches of Galatia were written in response to the religious leaders who came in behind him to ensure that traditions and religious practices were maintained. One of the primary ways of undermining his authority was to attack his former life. As we read Paul's letter we come to understand, redemption is one of the strongest arguments for the defense of the gospel.
