Twice His: Made and Bought

1 Peter 1:17-21

You are like that little boy's boat—twice owned by your Creator. First, God made you with His own hands, intimately and wonderfully crafting you in His image. Then, when sin carried you away like the wind, Jesus went to the cross and bought you back with His precious blood. You belong to Him doubly: by creation and by redemption. This truth transforms how you see yourself. You're not a cosmic accident or a worthless failure. You're a treasured possession, valuable enough that God paid the ultimate price. When you truly repent and surrender to Christ, three miraculous things happen: you're justified (sins removed), regenerated (made new), and adopted (welcomed as a son or daughter with full inheritance rights). You are His because He made you, and you are His because He bought you.
