A Life That Matters
Philippians 2:3-11
Clarence Darrow's favorite verse was tragic: "We've worked hard all night and caught nothing." Despite success, wealth, and fame, he felt empty because he left Jesus out. His dash—that small line between birth and death dates—represented accomplishment without meaning. But followers of Jesus never wonder if their lives matter. When we empty ourselves and take on the form of servants, as Christ did, our lives overflow with eternal significance. Greatness in God's kingdom isn't measured by degrees, wealth, or recognition, but by how we serve others. We're called to be fishers of men, not keepers of the aquarium. Your life will answer Solomon's question: "What is there to show for all our hard work?" Choose today to live so that when people see your dash, they see Jesus' timeline.
