The Gospel That Makes Us One

Ephesians 2:11-22; John 17:20-23

Jesus prayed that we would be one as He and the Father are one. The gospel doesn't just save individuals—it creates one new humanity, tearing down dividing walls. In Galatians 2:9, Peter extended fellowship to Paul, affirming gospel unity. But in verse 12, when pressure arrived, Peter separated himself from Gentile believers. Fear spoke louder than faith. How often do we do the same? We fellowship with filters, showing preferences and creating distance from those Jesus died to welcome. The question Galatians 2 places before us is profound: Do we really believe the gospel is enough to make us one? Unity isn't uniformity, but it does require us to value Christ's work above our comfort zones. Today, identify where you've allowed cultural preference, fear of judgment, or personal bias to override gospel truth. Ask God to give you courage to embrace the full family He's creating.
