Motivated by Mercy
Romans 12:1-2
Paul appeals to us "by the mercies of God" to present our bodies as living sacrifices. Transformation isn't a requirement—it's a response to overwhelming mercy. God didn't give us what we deserved; instead, He gave us His Son. This mercy creates space for transformation. The problem with living sacrifices is they keep crawling off the altar. Partial surrender produces minimal transformation. Lukewarm Christianity says "Jesus is my Savior" while keeping control of schedules, finances, and relationships. Full surrender looks different—it's daily, intentional, and complete. Today, what areas of your life are you still holding back from God? What would it look like to present those areas as a sacrifice of worship?
