The Warmth of Community

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

A single coal pulled away from the fire grows cold. It does not matter how brightly it once burned. Isolation does that to us as well. We were not designed by God to believe from a distance or to journey alone. We were made for community — for the kind of closeness where someone notices when you have grown quiet, when your warmth has dimmed, when you need someone to help you back to your feet. The enemy knows this. He works to separate. But God works to gather. Do not forsake the assembling together. Stay close to the fire. Stay close to one another.

Reflection: Have you been pulling away from community lately? What is one honest reason why, and what would it take to draw back in?
