The Heart of Worship
John 4:23-24
It is easy to come through the doors of a church and go through the motions. We sing the songs, we bow our heads, we say the right words. But God is not looking at the surface. He is looking into the heart. As the song reminds us, a song in itself is not what He requires. He is searching much deeper than the way things appear. True worship is not a performance. It is a returning. It is coming back to the simple, honest place where it is no longer about us — our comfort, our preferences, our image — but entirely about Him. Come back to the heart of it today.
