Bearing One Another's Burdens
Galatians 6:1-2
Bearing a burden is not the same as fixing a problem. It is not showing up with a checklist of corrections. It is slowing down to walk at someone else's pace. It is refusing to abandon a person because they are limping. Paul calls this fulfilling the law of Christ — which is the law of love. The Good Samaritan did not pass by on the other side. He stopped. He stayed. He paid the cost. Real burden-bearing costs us something: time, energy, comfort. But it is exactly what the body of Christ is called to do. Someone near you is carrying more than they are showing. Draw closer.
Reflection: Who in your life might need someone to simply slow down and walk beside them right now? What is one practical step you can take this week?
