Living Counter-Culturally With joy

1 Peter 2:9-12

You are chosen, royal, holy—set apart to proclaim God's excellence to a watching world. This isn't just Sunday morning identity; it's your everyday calling. The world expects Christians to complain about gas prices, political leaders, and economic struggles just like everyone else. But what if your response was radically different? What if your joy in hardship, gratitude in loss, and peace in chaos became so unusual that people had to ask about it? Peter calls us to "live such good lives among the pagans" that they glorify God. Your counter-cultural joy isn't naïve optimism; it's confident trust in a sovereign God. When you live differently, you create curiosity that opens doors for gospel conversations.

Reflection Question: How does your public response to difficulty differ from those who don't know Christ?
