Every Word Matters

Psalm 119:89-105; 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Jesus declared that not even the smallest letter of God's Word would pass away until all is accomplished. Like fine print in a contract, every word of Scripture matters because each reveals something about God's character and His will. We live in a culture that wants to redact God's Word with a black Sharpie, removing anything uncomfortable or inconvenient. But when we pick and choose which commands to follow, we make ourselves god instead of submitting to God. His Word is a lamp to our feet and light to our path—but only when we refuse to dim its brightness. Today, commit to reading, meditating on, and obeying Scripture, even when it challenges your preferences or cultural norms.
