God Our Refuge in Trouble
Psalm 46
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." When persecution surrounds you, when opposition feels overwhelming, God remains your fortress. The valley of the shadow of death isn't empty—the Good Shepherd walks beside you. That shadow exists because the Son is shining, and He's present in your darkest moments. The world will shake, nations will rage, but God's voice stills the chaos. Today, practice being still. In the noise of opposition, in the discomfort of standing alone for truth, pause and know that He is God. Your hope isn't in a trouble-free life; your hope is anchored in the unchanging character of God who has overcome the world and prepares a table for you in the presence of your enemies.
