From Anger to Surrender

Luke 23:32-34; Colossians 3:12-15

On the cross, Jesus embodied His own teaching. Beaten, mocked, and condemned, He didn't retaliate or call down judgment. Instead, He whispered, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." This is our model. The remedy for anger isn't suppression—it's surrender. Jesus didn't teach us how to not hate; He taught us how to love. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." As believers, we're called to reflect Christ's mercy in a divided world. Today, identify one relationship strained by anger or unforgiveness. Take the step toward reconciliation. Choose humility over pride, compassion over resentment. Let God uproot every seed of anger before it bears the fruit of hatred. Walk in the love of Christ, for love is always stronger than hate.
