The Verdict and The Pardon
Romans 3:9-26
The courtroom is silent. Every mouth is shut. The law has spoken, and the verdict is unanimous: guilty. Paul makes no exceptions and offers no loopholes. Every person, regardless of background or religious achievement, stands before a holy God with empty hands and a bankrupt account. Yet the very passage that condemns us also liberates us. The same God who pronounces the verdict steps down from the bench, reaches into his own pocket, and pays what we could never afford. Justification is granted freely, not because of what we have done, but because of who he is. Open your hands today. Receive the pardon.

Practical Application: Write down one burden of self-reliance you have been carrying. Physically open your hands as an act of surrender and ask God to replace that burden with his grace.
