Dwelling in His Presence Forever

Psalm 23; Roman 11:33-36

The sermon noted that the verbs in Psalm 23 carry a continuous, ongoing meaning in Hebrew. God does not lead, restore, and guide once and then stop. He continually and relentlessly does these things. The good shepherd never tires of pursuing the one lost sheep. Romans 11:33-36 reminds us that His wisdom and knowledge are beyond searching out. We cannot always understand His methods or His timing, but we can trust His character. The pursuing grace described throughout this sermon finds its ultimate destination in the final verse of Psalm 23 — dwelling in the house of the Lord forever. He pursues us all the way home.

Reflection Question: How does knowing that God wants you in heaven more than you want to be there change the way you approach your faith today?

Practical Application: End this five-day devotional by writing a short prayer of surrender — not asking God for anything specific, but simply declaring that you trust His relentless pursuit of your soul, His methods, His timing, and His eternal purpose for your life.
