Grace That Transforms

Romans 5:6-8; Psalm 1:1-6

Psalm 1 presents two paths and two outcomes. One leads to flourishing. The other leads to ruin. The difference is not merely moral effort -- it is rootedness. A tree planted by streams of water does not strain to produce fruit. It produces fruit because of what it is connected to. Grace is that stream. Romans 5 reminds us that God demonstrated His love toward us while we were still in rebellion. That kind of love does not leave us unchanged. When grace takes root in a person, it reshapes their attitudes, their habits, and the direction of their life.

Reflection: Are you striving to produce spiritual fruit through effort alone, or are you remaining rooted in the grace that sustains you?

Practical Application: Spend ten minutes today in stillness rather than striving. Ask God to show you what it means to be rooted in His grace rather than dependent on your own performance.
