Grace That Sustains the Mission

Ezekiel 37:26-27; 2 Corinthians 12:9

God's promise throughout Scripture is not merely that He will save His people but that He will dwell among them. His presence is the source of everything the church is called to offer the world. And when we feel insufficient for that calling -- when the weight of the mission feels greater than our capacity to carry it -- grace meets us precisely there. Paul learned that God's strength is most visible in human weakness. The church is not called to project strength. It is called to model dependence. A community saturated with grace is not a community that has it all together. It is a community that knows where to go when it does not.

Reflection: Are you attempting to fulfill your calling in your own strength, or are you regularly returning to the grace that makes the mission possible?

Practical Application: Gather with at least one other believer this week -- not to plan or organize, but simply to pray. Ask God to saturate your church community with the kind of grace that draws the thirsty to living water.
