Grace Precedes the Race

Acts 9:1-6

Saul of Tarsus was not looking for Jesus. He was not seeking transformation. He was not on a spiritual journey toward faith. He was actively working against the mission of God. And yet, Jesus took hold of him first. This is the order that changes everything: grace comes before growth, acceptance comes before action, and pursuit flows from being pursued. Too many believers exhaust themselves trying to earn what has already been freely given. The holy pursuit Paul describes in Philippians 3 is not the frantic running of someone trying to win God's approval. It is the grateful running of someone who has already been claimed by grace and now wants to spend their life honoring that gift.

Personal Reflection: Do you approach your faith more like someone trying to earn God's love or someone who has already received it? How does that difference shape the way you live day to day?

Practical Application: Write down three ways God has already taken hold of your life. Let those three things fuel your motivation to press forward today, not out of fear, but out of gratitude.
