Go and Sin No More
Romans 6:11-14
Grace is not permission to remain in sin. Jesus told the woman to go and sin no more. That command was not a burden placed on top of forgiveness. It was an invitation into the freedom that forgiveness makes possible. Paul writes that because we are alive to God in Christ, we no longer have to offer ourselves as instruments of unrighteousness. Grace changes what God thinks about us, and it changes what we do with our lives. Repentance is not simply feeling sorry. It is turning away from what was destroying us and walking toward the One who restores us.
Reflection: Is there an area of your life where you have accepted forgiveness but not yet surrendered the behavior? What would it look like to fully walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you?
