Open Arms, Open Hearts

Mark 10:13-16

Jesus did not merely tolerate the children who were brought to Him. He welcomed them with holy indignation toward anyone who stood in their way. The disciples, men who had witnessed miracle after miracle, still missed the heart of their Teacher. How often do we do the same? We attend services, sing songs, and read Scripture, yet we quietly become gatekeepers of who belongs in the presence of God. Jesus made it clear that the kingdom belongs to those who come with open, empty, childlike hands. The church is not a museum for the spiritually polished. It is a hospital for the broken and a home for the searching.

Personal Reflection: Have you ever made someone feel unwelcome, even unintentionally, in a church setting or in your personal life?

Practical Application: Identify one person in your community who may feel overlooked or excluded. Reach out to them this week with a simple, genuine act of welcome.
