Seeing What Others Miss
Luke 7:36-50
Simon the Pharisee sat at the same table as Jesus and missed everything. He saw a woman defined entirely by her reputation. Jesus saw a soul ready to be transformed. The difference was not knowledge -- Simon knew the Scriptures well. The difference was the posture of the heart. Self-righteousness creates a particular kind of blindness, one that allows us to identify sin in others while remaining unaware of our own desperate need for grace. Today, ask God to remove whatever blindness may be keeping you from recognizing his work in the lives of those around you.

Reflection Questions:
- Is there someone in your life you have reduced to the size of their past?
- What would it look like to truly see them the way Jesus does?
- In what areas of your own life do you still need to recognize your dependence on grace?
