Grace That Refuses to Stop Searching
Luke 15:8-10 - The parable of the woman who loses one coin, lights a lamp, sweeps the entire house, searches until she finds it, and then calls her neighbors to celebrate.
Think about the last time you lost something that truly mattered to you. You did not shrug and move on. You retraced every step. You searched every corner. You refused to give up. That relentless energy is a picture of how the Holy Spirit moves through this world right now. God is not passively waiting on a porch somewhere hoping people will wander home. He is actively sweeping the dark and messy corners of human experience, calling out, lighting the way, refusing to quit. He does not pursue you because you are impressive. He pursues you because you matter to him. That is the nature of grace. It does not grow tired of looking for you.
Reflection: Where in your life have you felt like God had stopped looking for you? How does this parable challenge that feeling?
Application: Spend five minutes in quiet prayer today, simply allowing yourself to be found. Tell God you are done hiding and that you are ready to be carried home.
